The Shia Kalma, also known as the declaration of faith in Shia Islam, emphasizes the oneness of Allah, the prophethood of Muhammad (PBUH), and the guardianship of Imam Ali (AS).
Transliteration:
English Translation:
“There is no god but Allah, Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, Ali is the Wali (Guardian) of Allah, the successor of the Messenger of Allah, and his immediate caliph.”
This declaration underscores the Shia belief in the immediate succession of Imam Ali (AS) after Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) without any intermediary. It reflects the commitment to the teachings of the Prophet and the leadership of Imam Ali (AS) as integral to the faith.
Reciting this Kalma is a profound expression of one’s adherence to the principles of Shia Islam, acknowledging the unity of Allah, the prophethood of Muhammad (PBUH), and the rightful succession of Imam Ali (AS).
